Permanent Hair Reduction

Practically everyone, men and women, has unwanted hair somewhere on their body. Unfortunately, the traditional hair removal routines such as tweezing, waxing, shaving, etc. come with problems that seem to be endless. The procedures can be tiresome, painful and often expensive especially after unwanted hair reappears a day or even weeks after each routine; nonetheless, we all dream of a procedure that eliminates hair forever. Finally, our dreams have come true with laser technologies!

Laser hair removal is becoming the new efficient and effective non-invasive method for those who want to permanently get rid of their unwanted hair. Permanent laser hair removal can be performed on all areas of the body on all skin types including, but not limited to:

How it Works

Hair's active growth phase is called anagen. During anagen, the hair contains an abundance of melanin. Hairs in this phase are most affected by light-based treatment.

Catagen is the regression phase when the lower part of the hair stops growing but is not shed, and the follicle is reabsorbed.

Resting phase is called telogen, during which the old hair falls in preparation for the development of new hair.

Laser hair removal is a non-invasive approach that uses light energy to block the hair follicles regrowth potential while protecting the surrounding tissue. It does this by emitting a beam of light down through the skin that is attracted to the pigment or melanin in the active growing hair follicle. The beam of light is adjusted and directed at the hair follicles; each pulse absorbed by the hair follicle, disabling the growth and resulting in effective hair reduction. Lasers use a precise wide beam that treats multiple hairs at once, rather than targeting each individual hair like other procedures. This results in more effective body hair removal that is quick, affordable and permanent.

Laser treatments are customized according to hair color, texture and location on the body.

As seen in Figure 1, hair grows in phases and hair follicles must be in the active growth cycle to be treated by hair removal lasers. For this reason, multiple treatments are recommended in order to disable all hair follicles and reach optimal hair reduction.
